Router to connect to network via WIFI, but have computer attached via ethernet

Only other idea I have been thinking of is a Ubiquiti Gateway, still researching it though. Rasp pi may be the next best option though once I can set it up and run everything into a network switch first.

Just make sure the wifi chipset you go with is fast enough and has the right number of MIMO streams for everything you want to bridge through it… you don’t want to create an unnecessary bottleneck

So, I found an unexpected solution. A friend had an old airport express, and connecting to to my network and then running an ethernet from that to a gigabit switch and everything is connected fine. No issues with anything such as plex which is running through that yet either, though I have not tested much 4K over it as it is limited to 100mbps I believe.

Free is a good price

It honestly has worked flawlessly since setup. I have had nothing slow to load or buffer and no dropped wifi on any devices
