hey guys, I found the youtube channel (and site) last august, so I didn't know about the build your own router video until the last inbox. So now I'm making plans to build my own router, and want to know if I'd be able to add hard drives to it that would act as NAS.

I would build router and NAS seperate, if one fails they both could fail.
You could, but the software for the two differs quite alot. You would have to virtulize two OS's side by side. Which could cause I/O delay, which is the worst thing that could happen on a router. Plus either of the two OS's used may have issues with being virtulized.
Take proffs advice and build two seperate units.
