Yaya I picked it up after playing it at Lan Syndicate, it's a lot of fun even though I'm terrible

@anon85933304 thanks for the info. but my experience with Rocket League was a terrible one thus far and so I will avoid it and just play games I actually like that are in my back log and are less difficult. Heck I stopped playing Fallout 3 GOTY all of a sudden for various reasons (damn NHL Playoffs, sleeping strange hours, and other stressful ****) but really have to get back to play it as it is so much fun.

I thought I would be good at Rocket League because racing games are the only thing I am competent at. I was in a match and they said I was "Too Aggressive" and then the other team started ganging up to explode me. I never played organized sports like soccer or hockey and I didn't know how I should be playing. So I changed my style of play.
I noticed that most matches look like when my 8 year old niece was playing Soccer or as I liked to call it, "SwarmBall". So now I play as defensive midfielder. My job is to stay outside of the "Swarm" and center the ball so one of my teammates can score. The only time I use Turbo is to get back on 'D'. I am not good as goalie, but I am good at clearing the ball back onto their side of the pitch. A key to being on defense is learning to drive in reverse so you can keep your eye on the ball. I also practice at being a 'touch' player. The other team never expects you to drive really slow and just dribble the ball instead of booting it at full turbo speed.
I am having more fun now and I started playing Rocket League a lot.

I never played it but most game I suck at, even the ones I love.
I find the same thing with Titanfall. The more I play and the less I die the more enjoyment I get
Hmmm... Maybe I will load that one up again. I liked it but I sucked.
Same here:) I was so happy when for the first time I was the second worst rather then the worst.
I love Rocket League. Been playing pretty much nonstop since buying it on sale for $9.60. Wish i knew it would be free a couple weeks later...
Anyway... I think I'm pretty decent at it (currently my rank is veteran). It's a ton of fun if you like soccer (football everywhere except US) and high speed gameplay.
