Rig won't post

I can't find out why my desktop (of which I don't own) won't post. So here it goes, I recently replaced what I thought to be a faulty board, but the issue is the same. It just won't post. The fans come on, and when it's off the mouse light stats on... I've tried multiple PSUs and GPUs, reseating the cables, etc but nothing works. I had it running for 4 days until I added a couple of fans. I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions. Here's the specs:

Stock clocked FX 6300 with stock HSF

24GB DDR3 1600mhz

990FXA-UD4 (previously Asrock 970 Extreme4)

Corsair CX 650M (like I said, I've tried multiple PSUs)

R9 280X Windforce edition (I've also tried an HIS HD 7870)

Thanks for any help.

Running, as in posting and everything? What RAM do you have?

its crucial ballistix. 2x4gb and 2x8gb. I tried with just 2x4 and got nothing. The fans start, but it doesn't post. it stopped posting just at random.

Do you have the case speaker hooked up? It should give a series of beeps if there's a problem with your build.

Outside of that, RAM might be the issue. Have you tried single sticks? Is there another build you can test them on?

This was after you installed the new fans, right? Obvious question, but have you tried disconnecting them since?

I tried disconnecting the fans and got nothing. Unfortunately, I don't think I have a case speaker for it. I may try single sticks. Could it be my CPU?

I tried using one dimm. It booted to the desktop, but now even with one dimm, won't post. I seriously think it may be the CPUs memory controller but I'm not sure.

allready tried a clear cmos?

also try to disconnect all the hdd´s and ssd´s. and see if its booting then. If nothing seems to work, then take the mobo out of the case lay it on its box, strip it to bare base.

Then install the cpu + cooler, 1 stick of ram, and a gpu. then connect the psu, and fire it up outside the case. Just to determine if there isnt something inside the case, that might cause some short ciquits, like a over tightened screw, or a lip of the back io.

you can fire it up with a flat screw driver shorting the pw sw pins for a second. But becarefull with that.
