What do people think of this as a build for a workstation that needs to push a 3D graphical environment. And of course some gaming on the side. All of my graphics would be running at 1080.
This is my first build any advise you have would be great. I don't really know the difference between MB's so I just went with some advice from another thread. What are the main things to look for in MB's, if you're not going to overclock?
Cheers for the help, DaveK
well if you are not going to overclock, then basicly its not worth it to invest extra money for a Z series board basicly, unless you like to have an option to do Sli, which in your case isnt realy relevant, because of the AMD gpu that you are aiming for.
If you are not going to overclock and you dont bother with dual GPU setups, then a H97 board is all you realy gonne need. Will be a totaly fine match with that Xeon E3. If the board offers enough connectivity for you, then it should be totaly fine.
As far as i look over your build, it does look totaly fine to me.
Thanks @MisteryAngel - PCpicker doesn't seem to have the H97 boards but I will look into it when I get the the purchasing.
