Restoring Mac and Saving Mac Office. iSCSI anyone?

I have a older Mac Book Pro from 2011 maybe 12 I cant remember right now and don't want to pull it out. I contacted Tech support about the issue and they say I need to buy another license witch I call bull. I want to dump the drive and start fresh, but I don't want to lose Microsoft office. So is there a way I can get my key, call Microsoft ask them to reactivate it and be good to go? I have looked on google in a few different sites trying to find something but ever one I ran across was no help or convoluted and even one wanting to install software to retrieve >.> Just need a little guidance. 2. Any good iSCSI programs out there for Mac were I am not paying a arm and a Leg. I tried out Global San works good but 89$ a pop is kinda ridiculous and for 8 machines yeah... Thought I could use school discount NOPE... Thanks in Advanced Dan

Lookup Mac key finder. Find the key, and use phone activation. Just say one computer when it asks you. (It's automated)

iSCSI? Ehhh.... I believe you can just do a direct connection. Depends on what type of device your running the protocol off of.

How I despise Microsoft automated system...
Thank you sir, gonna try it tomorrow.
It will I just hate having to re-link it every time. It can be a hassle at work some times be nice to just have the "drive" there...
