so i got this hard drive from an old computer and im trying to get all my pics and music from it. my question is, is it possible to connect my old hard drive into my new computer as a second hard drive or do i have to replace the new one? what other way can i get my files?
Yes, just connect it Via sata, and you will be able to access all the files.
it doesnt matter if the old hard drive was running windows xp and my new one is windows 7?
Nope. Just make sure your PC is set to boot from the one with windows 7. Will usually do that automatically, though.
