I agree, Qain is exaly using the Xeon E3-1230-V3 which is the preducessor of the Xeon E3-1231-V3, and as we know he does allot of streaming.The Xeon is indeed a good chip for streaming definitely.However you cannot utilize Qsync with these two particular Xeon´s, because they lacks on a igpu.But other then that, those Xeon´s do a decent job in streaming.

I was more trying to reference quicksync in relevance to the locked I5's, but yeah the Xeon's do also stream well as you mentioned.

I'll stick with my original buy then. I don't have too much of an overclocking desire yet, I just need the CPU bump up at this point. I did look at the sabertooth, btw, however in most places it's 220 USD. Probably close to the original price.
