Replacing the ivs.mtu.edu cluster

Visit ivs.mtu.edu for the system specifications.

I'm planning on writing a proposal to replace that entire cluster with a single machine. It was built 5 years ago based on consumer grade hardware, and has had the circuits beat out of it. Rather than replacing any broken main parts, it should be summarily replaced.

I'm thinking a EPYC 32 core, and 4 Quadro p6000's with released technology, but what are other's thoughts?
