Replacement of the display controller of a Korean 1440p LG-Panel

Hi there,
a few weeks ago my Achivea Shimian QH270-Lite started flickering and then went completely black with the sound of grilled electronics.
EDIT: I was testing overclocking it to around 80Hz at that time, forgot to mention that.

After carefully disassembling it i discovered a few traces that look burned on the display controller board, I searched but could not find a replacement display controller for LGs LM270WQ1-SLB2 Panel.

Since I am a student i can't afford a whole new monitor and wondered if anyone might know a seller for these boards.

Thank you in advance and greetings from Germany, Gunzinger. :)

I have no clue if anyone sells the control boards.

But do you have any soldering skills?

We might be able to find the components for the boards and just swap out some bits for a few bucks.

I have some moderate soldering skills, but have no way to determine whether the chip is the only damaged component.

Thank you I think if no seller is found in the next couple of days I will try to replace the chip, I will also upload a few photos in the next days if that helps with anything.

Overview:

Closer view on the chip:

Near the bottom right corner the burned pins are visible.

The chip appears to be an Explore EP269, but I can't find a possibility to order it anywhere.

Are you sure they are burned?

That just looks like dirt on the pins.

Try just taking a tooth brush and some rubbing alcohol and see if it comes off.

The “cleaning” I tried after this post did not end up working, so I bought another Controller Panel for the Panel which works fine now.

After that I thought I have nothing to loose and redid all the solder connections of the big “EP269” Chip which ended up reviving this controller panel
So it was either some pretty persistent dirt or a solder connection gone bad overtime.

Now Im using this Panel at 96/102Hz (OC) instead of my LG 4k 60Hz for gaming and the “cheap korean monitor” has gained some extra lifetime.
