So my current ASRock w480 motherboard seems to be dying as the onboard graphics has quit working and it will nto boot when HDMI is plugged in. If I unplug HDMI system will boot and run. As it is being used in my Unraid server I am concerend it will eventually fail and possibly corrupt data with it. I have looked for replacement w480 and w580 MOBOs but given the availibility probems and cost for these it just doesn’t make sense to invest anymore money in my Xeon W-1300 platform.
This leaves me wondering what direction I should go. I recently saw the Gigabyte MW34-SP0 review and wonder if that would be a good replacement path. I run a series of dockers and a couple of VMs on this system mostly related to media and transcoding. Looking for any suggestions on a good replacement platform. Preferably DDR4 so I don’t have to purchase a bunch of new components.
