I recently got a H80i, it's cooling my CPU very well, but it is too damn loud!
What fans would you reccomend to replace the stock fans.
pwm cougar vortex make nice affordable replacements
odd, I can get my 8350 up to 4.5ghz AND STILL run the fans in 'silent' on my h80i (which pretty much does what it says on the tin).. temps are fine even under a prolonged heavy load.
If I try to stress it further (4.6 and above) then of course silent no longer cuts it and then the damn thing starts getting progressively noisey :P
lol, ya You may have the fan settings in bios full on
Yeah I've sorted out the noise through Corsair Link, but when I start to puch my CPU the noise picks up.
i have cougars on my h100 they work fine, Tip pay attention to db ratings and sp ratings on your fans. stock corsairs work fine but are noisy. Noctua is very highly rated.
If u havent changed any settings in corsair link... the stock SP120 variant fans will run loud as they are designed to run at about 2600 RPM from memory... Personlly i use the SP120 Queit Fans
*also using a h100i instead of the H80i
