Replacement 7870

So my HIS iceq turbo 7870 died on me, luckily Ebuyer.com is giving me a refund. They have stopped selling the HIS 7870's so i cant buy another.

I have £180 to spend on a new GPU and I'm unsure of what to buy, XFX, Saphire? Im also open to buying Nvidia.

Will you please recommend me a good GPU and brand?

So essentiall you have 238.48 US Dollars. Get yourself a GTX 760. Or you can wait to see what the next generation of Radeons bring.

See if you can't find a 7950 around that price where you are. We have one here.

I'm already putting £40 into this, i suppose i could pull together another 20 or so but i doubt it would make a big diffrence.

my xfx 7870 has a little coil whine i would upgrade here soon the 7970 7950  are going to get cheaper

I suppose i could reach for the 760, its right on the top end of my budget. But is it really worth it?

It doesnt seem that there is a huge performance diffrence between the 760 and 7870, and the 760 is about £50 more expensive.

Also i need a Gcard asap, i long to play Arma 3 in ultra again! I cant wait for the next gen to come out.

yeah pickup a Radeon 7950, that msi that cooperman posted is one of the cheapest. but still a good card. or a HiS 7950.

When you order from scan untick there shiping 'insurance' saves you £5 and i dont know why thay offer it as if you get a broken item thay replace it anyway.
