Hello guys,
So I want to get a few more machines working on my projects on After Effects. Now my question is this:
What sort of hardware is best for a non gaming rendering machine? Do I still need a beefy Gcard or just raw compute power?
Many thanks in advance.

I feel sad now ._.
Something reasonably priced please :)
Isn't there like a rent-a-server farm program over the cloud, basically an online render-farm service?

Would that not be terrible for rendering After Effect Frames?
The internet is OK here but still :)
What's your budget? Many here can probably recommend you an affordable workstation build using Xeons for Multi-threading and Nvidia for Cuda if that's all your looking for. Maybe a dual Xeon build.
What is your budget ? Are you using ray tracing ?

I would say about $1000 US ray tracing is a affirmative gentlemen/women :)
Giulianno_D:
Nvidia for Cuda
You know Adobe's crap supports OpenGL / CL as well, so the most important thing now is calculation ability of the gpu...

If that is your budget it would be better to use the cloud services like Giulianno_D mentioned.

Made a little box for handbrake (so no gpu). Maybe interesting for you: click .
