Hello. Maybe this will help. It basically says that renaming is not supported by nautilus. I assume that the same goes for Nemo. It says to use gparted which is in the repos. Also, when Googling for help, I would use Ubuntu instead of Mint. You'll get more results. I typed in "rename usb drive Ubuntu" and got literally pages of links. Let me know how it goes:)
