So many games are intense and filled with action. This is all fine and dandy, but sometimes we just want to relax and unwind. I've been working a lot lately with a lot on my mind and I just want to veg out with something relaxing (can be cute.. we all need innocence once in a while).
Waking Mars. It's is as fast paced as you want it to be, and one of the few games out there that pulls off being challenging without ever being frustrating. Also, it completely eschews combat, which I found refreshing.
I guess a grand strategy game like Civ 5 and Crusader Kings 2 are pretty good as a relaxing game. And one interesting choice would also be Dark Souls PVP.
Well it's just that quite alot of the time I find dungeon-crawling and spelunking quite frustrating, especially since in Skyrim you pretty much NEED a follower if you're gonna play it on legendary, and Skyrim's follower system is annoying at best.
Unless you're saying you just ride around and talk to people or scavenge, which I actually sometimes do as well.
I'm usually too much of a miner&combat to do this right but, just building coupled with some relaxing music in the background is Awesome (atleast for me). I've lost a whole day to this actually.
Note: I prefer single player. Less Multiplayer interactions and possibly stress.
I use to play minecraft while listening to music but recently have been playing civilization while executing jams. I have found this is relaxing until later levels where each turn is 20 - 30 moves long and a bit nerve racking. I really enjoy a good TD game while unwinding GemCraft is awesome. I really haven't found any downloadable tower defence games I really enjoy (Open to suggestions).
