Should I get a refurbished card? Will it be safe?
depends on the price. If the refurbished card is about 30% cheaper than a new card, then its worth it. Although, from my experience with refurbished parts (I buy almost everything refurbished) they generally lose a bit of lifespan over new parts, so expect it to last about 1 year less than a new part. In this case, a GTX 760, which would probably last at least 5-6 years new, so about 4-5 years refurbished.
If you get it from newegg, it will either die in the first week and you can send it back and get a replacement, or it will last 3 years. Either way, you aren't losing out.
