Hey guys, I'm just curious about those reference model GPUs, specifically the GTX 670. I believe that the reference model runs hotter than the custom aftermarket model with 2 or 3 fans but does it mean that if it runs hotter then it's gonna have shorter lifespan?
Now about the performance. For the 1080p single monitor gaming, is it really necessary to overclock the 670? Is the fps differences between the stock and the overclocked one really worth the extra money? I'm asking this because I am looking for a $320-$330 GPU, but I don't mind waiting and saving up a bit more if my gaming experience will be much much better with the overclocked cards.
I am not considering any similar priced AMD cards because this is not only for gaming, but also for the Adobe Creative Suit, and I believe Nvidia cards with their CUDA cores will be much more helping me for that. I want to know what you guys think and I'll appreciate every comment or input from you guys.
