Red screen of death? (solved)

I just recently built a new gaming pc and it seemed to be working fine but all of a sudden I got a completely red screen and my computer reset itself.  Now it'll boot in safe mode perfectly fine but if I try to boot windows 7 regularly it'll get just before the login screen then go to the red screen and I can't do anything.  I've updated the drivers to the most recent Nvidia drivers and also did a reformat/clean install of windows.  Updating the drivers didn't help even with a clean install.  The reformat worked up until the point when I installed the Nvidia drivers again.  Is this a faulty card issue? or something else?

Specs:

MOBO: Asus P8H77-M/CSM Micro ATX LGA1155
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 670 OC version
CPU: Intel i7 3770k 3.5 ghz
Mem: 16 gb DDR3

EDIT: Solved by swapping the card out.  Was a faulty gpu
