Recs for running Audio Technica ATH-AD900x

So I just picked up the ATH-AD900X and I am looking for some help on how best to run in on my computer. Always loved music (metal and classical primarily) and looking to start venturing from the enthusiast into the audiophile camp. I am hoping to get the most out of gaming with these as well (been using ATH-AD500x for CS:GO).

Currently just running things off my MB, and I was hoping you might point recommend for optimizing these bad boys. I am very new to DACs and amps so recommendations are much appreciated. I have no idea what the price points I should be looking at are, so I will just ask for recommendations that performance potential of these headphones without being overkill. Many thanks!

edit: Motherboard is an ASRock Z77 Extreme4

If you like music, then I would try and return the AD900x and at least get some AKG Q701s or even better yet is I would try to squeeze out a bit more cash and try to find some sennheiser HD650s on sale.

The AD900xs are very bass light and are harsh sounding. They do VERY VERY well for gaming. In fact, they are probably some of the best audiophile grade headphones that will actually work well forfor competitive gaming. However, they really fall short for music.

I really would just get an asus DGX sound card, and then try to eq the hell out of them to try and get some bass back.
