So…my sister has a Galaxy S4 and has managed to accidentally reset her PIN and then forget it. So we’re locked out of the phone. I would just do a factory reset, but she’s got photos from a Disney World trip that are kind of priceless to her. Is there any way to get the photos off before resetting the thing? I am a pretty competent Linux user if that helps.

Which you can take out and put in a cardreader.

It’s not like the thing is encrypted but you may be able to get access to file system from booting into recovery mode.
