looking for a linux distro that i can use for moving files from an NTFS SSD to a NTFS HDD my reason is because windows will no longer boot and anything i try to do to get it to boot even though CMD will not work i can see that my files are still there but i need a live linux USB to boot from to move files to a backup drive
Theoretically any distro should work. Tho, sometimes when you mount a Windows partition you will get an error, or it will tell you to mount it in read only mode (at least in my experience)
downloading ubuntu just now .....i forgot you could abously mount this drive in windows but im getting access denied when i am trying to open the drive even with admin rights any ideas ?
got it took ownership of the drive worked ....still need to use linux usb got it all working thanks a bunch
