So I am thinking of doing tutorials for switching to Linux for beginners as I my self was once a beginner. I am more in-depth now but still no expert so I should be able to help people who are just starting, plus Ive been wanting to do more with my Youtube channel other than having it sit with 4 year old crap paintings sitting there.
The thing is I am not fully setup do do everything, I would need to record my screen when I cannot use software, so some sort of external capture device, and would of course do my voice overs as I go, not only would I need an external capture device I would need a separate computer to record to as I am doing things like installing the OS and again cannot use capture software.
Here's the kicker, I am broke, all the money I have is going towards university and I just cannot justify spending a dime of it. So It would need to be a dirt cheap computer that I can record to, and then I can transfer the files over and work on them on my desktop as my desktop is plenty powerful.
So the question after that long winded read, (do not worry when I speak I come across a lot less lose-my-train-of-thought). What is a good capture device? Would using a cheap Intel NUC or other micro-PC be good for recordings? Should I save my money and just use my camera to record my screen and audio? (somewhat crappy in comparison, but is a DSLR and a tripod so it wont be total crap)
The last thing is I do not have a spare drive to install the OS on so until I get that solved no tutorials at all.
