Ok so if i want to record 1080p videos with dxtory i get a really badframe rate in game ( whilst recording ) and the video file itself is choppy, i did the benchamrk and i record at 55 mb/sec :( i have an fx4100 and a gtx 550 ti.
basically what needs improving, am i right in saying get an ssd an record to it??
Recording to a second HD would be your best option, when you are trying to read and write that much data to 1 HD it just can't keep up
what about an ssd, faster read/write
An SSD might be ok for recording and loading your games, I play from my SSD and record to my HD sometimes it works fine

Running the game on one drive and recording files to another works really well, even with moderate speed hard drives.
ok might just get an ssd for recording
