What are your recommended games for Linux? I have been playing Fistful of Frags. It's free-to-play on Steam.
TUX RACING!!!!!
Portal, TF2, Garrys mod and Witcher 2.
Witcher 2 - native
World of Tanks - wine/POL/winetricks
Wildstar - POL
I cant think of many off the top of my head that havent been mentioned but I believe project cars will be a decent racing sim to look out for in the fall.
Metro Last Light & 2033, Trine 1 & 2, Game Dev Tycoon and The Witcher 2 are a few a could think of right now.
If you're using an open source operating system, you might as well try open source games:
The Dark Mod.
Arx Libertatis (Open source engine for Arx Fatalis, you still need the data files from Arx Fatalis).
OpenMW (Open source engine for Morrowind, you still need to data files from Morrowind).
OpenArena.
Unvanquished.
Warzone 2100, OpenTTD, Sauerbraten 2, The Ur-Quan Masters, Most any game in the repos. Load up all the games in the ScummVM Library, All the games using platform ROMS for the game console emulators in the repos.
Any cube 2 game. I especially like red eclipse. Guns of Icarus Online (steam) is very enjoyable.
Linux Tycoon: http://lunduke.com/linux-tycoon/
I recently watched this video which mentions some games that look pretty cool, such as Limbo, Teslagrad, and Cave Story

If you're into Steam here's a handy reference for greenlit linux games.
Also here is the database of linux games currently available on Steam.
Civilization 5
Didn't know Witcher 2 was ported to Linux. CD Project are really awesome.
Metro and goat simulator, also EVE online is officially unofficially supported. The Devs will respond to and fix Linux issues but it is "at your own risk"
metro 2033 doesnt work on linux
As you read this you should think of the guy from the Micro Machines commercials reading it.

Wargame: Red Dragon
I have been thinking about trying it out and wrestled with the idea of needing to reinstall windows and upgrade my PC. Thinking about the latter, I went to the game's website and was pleasantly surprised to find out that they do have Linux support.
Oh, I've been playing Divinity Original Sin with wine 1.7.25. Works great, absolutely no tinkering involved, and it's an awesome game.
If you don't have wine 1.7.25 in the repos, it works as well (a smidge slower) on 1.7.22 or 1.7.23. 1.7.24 is awful for it, stuttering galore.
Heres one;
It runs in bash
It's called shellshock
It's from 2012

Cute game.
Also, Wasteland 2 is on GOG for linux.
