Recommended games for steam

I bought a £20 (roughly $32) steam wallet code and im wondering what game(s) to get with it, anyone have an recommendations? I prefer single player (since my internet is terrible) with a nice long story. My favourite Genre is post apocalyptic and/or survival although other games are welcome.

cheers

Metro 2033. Get it. Love it. Enjoy the post apocalyptic/survival beauty of it.

They Bleed Pixels. 2D platformer. http://store.steampowered.com/app/211260

I am a little bit upset. But yeah definitely try Metro it's awesome! A scary kinda feel but not that many parts that make you jump. Just keep ya on edge.

Cannot recommend FTL: Faster Than Light enough.  Been playing for days and still haven't been able to destroy the rebel flagship on Easy

That, Valve games, Mark of the Ninja, Blacklight: Retribution (free to play), The Walking Dead, and Audiosurf are all great too

thanks for the recommendations guys, i grabbed metro back when it was free, good game from what i got to play, got the the 6th locatiom then the game went unstable and started crashing (probs becuase of my integrated graphics, which i may or may not upgrade when i get the money)

XCOM Enemy Unknown is currently my timesink(more like time vampire that game is addictive). FTL is very good....

Other than that I really don't have much other than FTP online games.

hmm, anyone know any open world games?

I know it's an older game, but the original borderlands + all expansions is on sale for £5. It's online, but I found it just as fun to play solo. Plus it's open world, and you gets tons of content for the price.

Can definitely recommend Killingfloors if FPS's are your thing

The University of British Columbia hates you.

arma ii commbonied operation play dayz wasteland ect...

Awesomenauts is a pretty fun (and cheap) 2D multiplayer game.

Saints Row: The Third  That game has everything you could think off. Funny game and good music.

Witcher is pretty good also not very far lots of quests and side missions to do

I hope you haven't bought Metro 2033 yet since you can get it for free on freemetrogame.com.

I know it doesn't fit with the Genre you want but, Blacklight: Retribution (Multiplayer only)  is F2P and is pretty awesome.
