Recommended DVD ripping software? (Just to store on a drive, not distributing)

I'd like a DVD ripping software that I can use to store all my movies on a spare drive. I want to preserve the full quality and be able to view at high FPS with PowerDVDs TrueTheater/Hardware/Software Decoding.

Thanks.

"Just to store on a drive, not making illegal copies"  Ripping copy-protected dvds is illegal, even if you bought them, they are still copy protected.

but you probably won't get caught, and if you do get caught, Well...there, you have some wiggle room.

Well, I guess what I meant was is their purpose is for my own use to store efficiently and not illegally distribute them.

Handbreak with libdvdcss.dll

Or if you can figure it out and are technically adept, FFmpeg.

I used DVD Decrypter to convert my dvds to ISOs then i used handbrake to transcode them all in mp4. I used MakeMKV to rip my blurays and handbrake to transcode.

I did it this way because I plan on making an HTPC that just has all the ISOs on it and the mp4s are for my tablet or laptop when I'm traveling or if I ever get around to creating a plex server.

Hand break, for sure handbreak and use the libdvdcss.dll with it. IIRC it used to come with vlc but I forget if it still does or how else to get it.

Lol this was an old post from the middle of last year. But thanks anyway.
