Recommendations for a first PC racing wheel

Hello,

I have just bought project cars and assetto corsa in the steam sales with the intention of getting a wheel to get the best experience whilst playing them. However, I know nothing about wheels, budget isn't really a hindrance just what to get something reliable for a decent price with force feedback.

Any recommendations would be great!

Thanks,

I bought the Logitech G29 recently and it's been fine for me. If you were to go with a Logitech the XBOX/PC (G920) equivalent is arguably better looking than the PS3/4 version I bought but the PS version has a shift light on the wheel which is quite useful. Otherwise they are mostly the same and both work fine on PC.

I don't have the separate gear shifter yet so can't comment on that.

Hey,

I bought a logitech G27 a few years ago. I'm super happy with it. i would guess I have does around 200hours of driving between games such as Assetto corsa, Dirt rally, iRacing, and city car driving. The G27 is generally regarded as the "bullet prof" wheel and is has good force feedback. If you have loads of cash spare I have herd the Thrustmaster T500rs is very good.

the only downsides to the G27 is if don't have a dedicated racing "station" so to speak, its kind of a pain in the ass to setup and dismantle for every driving session. but this is not that big of a problem in my eyes

also i would recommend building some kind of bracket for your desk that will let you mount the gear shifter down around your legs and not on the table.

Happy Racing!

I have an old Logitech MOMO Racing Force wheel. It's kind of ironic that it still works perfectly but I have a problem that Logitech no longer makes a driver for it. A steering wheel without a driver just ain't no good.
