Some Hong Kong action flicks like Hard Boiled (Jon Woo) and Supercop/Police Story (Jackie Chan) are great.
Also, seeing Luc Besson mentioned earlier, the two District 13 movies are fun. (In French, English subbed)

Quentin Tarantino films are nice, i think just everything from him might be worth a shot. (disclaimer, i have not watched all his stuff)

Fight Club is a good one, though you’ve probably seen it. I watched Se7en recently and enjoyed it. How about Memento?

I watched half of it on netflix but didn’t like it much. Came back few days later and it was gone. Couldn’t find it any more. Does Netflix remove movies from its catalogue?

I recommend these:

  • Maze Runner

  • American Gangster

  • Wolf of the Wall Street - (based on real story)

  • Interstellar - (the space science in the movie is based on real hypothesis)

  • Snowpiercer

  • The Interview 2014

  • Mad Max - Fury Road (Probably the best action movie I have seen in a long time)

I considered recommending that one but I watched a few minutes again and oh boy is it cheesily over the top. I think that’s a Troma film isn’t it?

I have no idea. It’s possible…it’s definitely something they might do. Saw it a very long time ago but it left that so bad it’s funny impression for all these years.
