Recommend Me A Mouse

Hey guys I was wondering if someone could recommend me a new mouse, I currently have a Steelseries XAI and its developing a double clicking/not clicking/clicking when not suppose to click problem and jittery mouse sensor.

So I usually hold the mouse kind of half way between palming it and clawing the mouse, I would want the mouse to be good for shooters, RPG's like diablo and RTS games (starcraft).

I have a price limit of around £60.

razer deathadder.

i have this mouse and i love it, it had adjustable weights and you can switch out the feet to match how you like your sensitivity, and the on the fly dpi adjustments are nice

Thanks for the quick reply guys, I have heard the death adders are very good, although I have heard they have questionable reliability, is that just a vocal minority or is it true?

I had no idea Gigabyte made mice, what other mice have you used and how does it stack up to them?

I picked up my deathadder on sale for $45 at best buy. Best $45 i've ever spent. Its a wonderful mouse and it is extremely comfortable. As for reliability, i have dropped this thing countless times and it doesnt even have a scratch on it. Performs flawlessly

i used the deathadder for a littel and a microsoft wireless gaming mouse when i only had a laptop and a smaller logitec wireless mouse also with the lappy, i like the gigabyte over the deathadder just becasue of the size and the rubber on the sides, switchable on the fly profiles, and the adjustable weight, but i had the older deathadder, and i hear they added a rubber grippy side to the 2013 model which i havent used yet

After using a R.A.T 7 for about a year I was getting tired of the lazer freaking out from dust. So I asked for a deathadder for christmas. Opened it up, plugged it in, put it right back in the box. It's a decent mouse. But seriously I'll put up with the intermediate lazer problems of the R.A.T for it incredible ability to track when on the mouse pad and not track when picked up millimeters off the pad.

It's really hard to go from a mouse that you hardly have to pick up to one you have to pick up atleast a half an inch off the pad.

The deathadder will work for palm grip and claw, but more so for palm because of it's large size. But the R.A.T can do both really well. I personally use the raised up palm rest on the R.A.T so that my fingers hover more over the buttons and to take stress off my wrist.

Final thoughts: Deathadder, good mouse. R.A.T, very good mouse, you just pay a premium for it. About double that of the deathadder. Well worth it if the features sound good to you.

im borrowing my girlfriends rat 7 all the time, she hates me for it lol. good mouse

Logitech G700. Great mouse, and Logitech has awesome customer service!

Agreed, friend has a Logitech G700. He likes that mouse a lot.

The zowie AM Series are very nice, they are optical so don't freak out over dust specs (I also have a R.A.T 7 and Hate blowing out the sensor all the time >.>). Also with the RAT 7 the side button wear out quick with in 2 weeks of heavy use (Push to talk for voice server etc.) They dont click anymore.

If you have big hands go for the Func MS-3.

If you have smaller hands, probably best to go with something from above:

What do you guys think about all of these compared to the Steelseries Sensei?

thermaltake theron is pretty cool I have one and love it other recommendation logitech g400 and g500

I would recommend the Logitech G400.

You need to look what sensor the mouse has before purchasing. Lights, adjustable weights etc. are completely meaningless if the sensor is really bad.

Avoid everything with Avago ADNS-9500 or Philips Twin Eye sensors. For example: Logitech G9x, G500, SS Xai, Mionix Naos 5000, Razer Mamba / Naga / Imperator / Lachesis,  Madcatz RAT 5/7/9, Func MS-3, etc.

@ThePlanBPill: The RAT7 was an absolutely horrible mouse and there is nothing "premium" about it (DPI switch broke very quickly, "palm rest" isn't securely attached when fully extended and it just felt really cheap overall).

On the topic of mouses, does anyone know of a mouse somebody with HUGE hands can palm grip, i'm talking like 4 inch long fingers sort of size

Steelseries Sensei or Logitech g600, depending on your hand size.

Thanks for all the reply's guys, its much appreciated.

so taking into concideration what everyone has said the short list would be either one of these:-

Out of these three which one would be best? I admit I am a sucker for ones that light up haha but still, I'd like to get the best one.

I love the Naga HEX, it has 6 additional mechanical buttons, perfect to suit any game.
