Reccomended Movies

I think this forum needs a place to post movies that people enjoy and recommend.

I will start out with a few.

The first one is called "The Dictator" and is packed full of humor, in my opinion. I highly recommend you check it out. I am no good with creating enticing descriptions, so I will just link the one from IMDb.

The rest are pretty much Mel Brooks movies. Those movies include Spaceballs, Robin Hood: Men In Tights, and Blazing Saddles. I find them all humorous.

What do you all recommend?

Arthur- the original 1981 version for comedy

Blade Runner - for a must see

Audition- for horror

Metropolis- made in 1927 for a classic

and for off the wall movies try.........

The Holy Mountain

or

Salo, or 120 days of Sodom

but don't say I didn't warn you.

ya, a movie i could enjoy. How about Fear and loathing in Las Vegas

watched this the other day fucking loved it

OldBoy, and not the lame ass fucking Spike Lee remake.

Blade runner was so dry, iv tried to watch it twice, got too bored. I will try again some day.

Not really a big fan of action movies but i'll recommend one that i watched the other day and i loved. It's called The Raid: Redemption. It is truly epic.

Hmmmmm......

War - Cross of Iron, Grave of the Fireflies (amazing Japanese anime take on WW2), Come and See (Brutally confronting Soviet war film), Das Boot

Old School - Logans Run, Bladerunner

Sci-Fi - The 5th Element, Starship Troopers

Manga/Anime - Ninja Scroll, Grave of the Fireflies (also in war)

Action - Predator, Alien (original) National Treasure 1 & 2, Pulp Fiction, Crash, The Wrong Man

Romantic Comedy - 100 Girls

Comedy - Bedazzled, Mars Attacks

Lol, that last one, I feel sorry for anyone who didn't know any better and just decided to watch it.

Amelie - French, but very very uplifting and nice. Will give you warm feelings inside without being cliche or trite. Great theme song and Audry Tatu is lovely.

Network - American political satire, truly amazing. They certainly don't make them like this anymore. Nothing like it out in the past 20 years.

The Deer Hunter - Beast of a movie.

MOVIE: Be Cool, starring John Travolta and Uma Therman,

Quote: "who the hell are you?!"

"I'm the one tellin' you how it is..."

Also whoever, wherever you are, ( i assume you already have) you should watch v for vendetta, if not because it is a fantastic movie then because is it is so deeply integrated and integrated in internet and forum culture.

Sweet! The post has been revived.

I recently watched "47 Ronin" and enjoyed it quite a bit.

After I was finished with it I felt as if the NSA were putting me on a list.
