That's actually the regular price for the 5820k at Micro Center. Their insanely good prices on CPUs (and the $40 $30 discount when you combo with a motherboard) are the reason I always buy at least those parts there.
It's also in-store only, which is a bummer for folks who don't have an MC near them.

You are indeed correct that they have dropped it to $30 for an Intel bundle. My bad. It's $40 for an AMD bundle. Still makes it a no-brainer for CPU/mobo (assuming they carry a mobo you want).
well not realy, the 5960x alone, will blow my budget.
I saved upto €1000,- and thats still not enough to do an upgrade to X99 + new GPU,
thanks to those rediculous Euro prices.

You guys have insane prices. Maybe a friend in the US could pick one up for you and ship it over. That would be a little cheaper. Maybe 320-350 euros.

We also dont have those sale days like black friday or cyber monday and such, unfortunatly.
Even New Egg offers some very nice X99 combo deals.

I love Micro Center it is like a mecca for Computer Science nerds. It is like the store is made to mimic what New Egg would look like at retail.
