I’m not trying to do goofy vocoder effects I’m looking for very subtle alterations to my real time voice over things like team speak or other live streams and podcasts. What I’ve found so far distorts your voice in extremes and is obvious. I’m not trying to sound like darth vader or like I’m a girl on helium. I just need minor alteration controls to help with clarity or tone and pitch.
I’m fine with either an external hardware solution or a software solution. I use an audio technica at2020 w/ filter for most of my work and have both xlr and usb variants, If I can even be pointed in the right direction of what I’m looking for I’d be very grateful. I also have a jazzmutant lemur that I use mostly for sound effects and echo’s if that’s of any use, I just setup a button to silence coughs and such.
No idea though how to modify real time though, the echo works with just a delay record and decay, the silence button is tied into the system to mute the mic while held. I tried a couple times to do some kind of pass through with a filter but it’s inherently a loop system not intended for what I’m thinking about.
