Ready to buy. Would you check off on my plans?(Mid-Range Build)

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/GfMy

So after a month or so of constant research I think I have come up with a decent build(my first). Mind you, I already have a case and OS. You can just ignore the mouse and keyboard, I just need something(my previous computer was a mac pro, it was an unloving and distant relationship. So, yeah, I dont have PC accessories laying around anymore)

For the video card I was bebating between the 7870 GHz Ed. or the GTX 660 Superclocked. But the first seems more popular, but I dont know.

So should I just go for this build or do you see room for improvements(within my budget of $760ish)

Oh I forgot to mention, this is a gaming rig I'm building.

you might be overpaying on the ram, I have a 16gig set of 1600 on my list for like $70... and the zalman cooler might be kinda hinky... most people go with a hyper 212 plus or evop at that price. otherwise, looks pretty damned good.

Most important is the Graphics, since I noticed that you went with a Radeon 7870 anyway, so the 7870 is just significantly more powerful option for about the same price. The cooler for the CPU would also be another good idea, since the greater the amount of metal fin material you have stuck to your board, the better the cooling potential is. And the RAM... well, 2133 RAM is always nice.

Maybe bump up the the PSU to something like 600W, 650W, or 700W for some room to vroom?

Don't buy the 500W Corsair, it's rubbish. Go for a Seasonic or XFX.

I agree and disagree, corsair make good PSU's, just the CX series is pure shit. if you want corsair get an AX series, or as said above seasonic or xfx

Yeah, that's what I meant. They make good psu's but the CX ones are no good.

The CPU cooler is shit and your rig will pull more than 500w. Repeat, your computer can't run off of 500w Please use this before you buy, and aim 50w over what it suggests.
