Hello all, I’m trying to get completely free of Windows and I have just a few things left, one being running my Reolink software for my PoE cameras. The second time in just one week my PoE recordings were down because Windows10 updated (I have the Reolink software set to ‘start’ after a reboot but that doesn’t seem to work). I need the stability of an OS that doesn’t update unless I specify (somewhat safe behind my NAT, I do not port forward the VM/software). My band-aid at the moment is a pfsense firewall rule blocking the Win10 machine from talking to the internet.
I spun up a ReactOS VM to try and run that Reolink software on. First hurdle was to find in their documentation to use a Windows XP Pro as selected OS so that IDE is created over SCSI (found I needed to use 32bit as well). But now the ReactOS doesn’t seem to recognize the virtual NIC. Their wiki does not specify what type of virtual adapter to use.
Anyone have ReactOS ESXi success to post here?
