After my 2nd deathadder in a year, I think I'm switching to a new mouse. It seems that after about 6-8 months of heavy use, the left click on the deathadder goes bad. I googled the issue and apparently it's a known problem with the DA.
Has anyone else had this problem with their deathadder? The lachesis looks way better based on reviews, no left click problems at all. Soo looks like I'm buying that and scrapping the deathadder that everyone "loves" :)
I have gone through two myself but the scroll broke on the first one. They are great mice but seem to use more fragile parts than the others...
I used a logitech G5 mouse for about 5 years and it finally died last month when someone knocked it off my desk twice in 20 minutes. They purchased my new death adder, lol.
The Lachesis is a great mouse too... it's just not as comfortable for me. Maybe I would get used to it...
A few of my friends have switched from the "ergonomic right handed" mice to the Lachesis, and now they love it. They said it takes a few weeks to adjust to the new mouse, though.
I've had mine for about a year, and it just died on me about 2-3 weeks ago. The left click started going crazy...one physical click would make 6+ clicks. You can imagine how annoying it was in games...heheh.
Now I'm using this generic microsoft mouse...I don't know what mouse I'll buy next. I love the Deathadder, but I don't want my mouses to only last me a year.
I've had no troubles with my Deathadder since I stopped using their fraudulent drivers. I don't like the feel of any other mouse ever since I got used to this. Though because their customer support is beyond garbage and they only give you refurbished products, I will not buy anymore products from them. (Logitech gave me a brand new G11 after my bro broke it)
But yea, the mouse is very weak/fragile/light feeling compared to my old MX518 and G5 that took a beating when I used to be a hardcore iGunz player.
I vouch for a Lachesis. Feels great to me, been using it for about 1-2 months, It takes a little bit of adjusting to first, but it works great. It has a nice size so there is no need to do the pterodactyl claw.
I've had a Lachesis too and I liked it for the most part, but I felt the Deathadder more comfortable to my tastes. I gave it to my friend for like $30 lol
Had mine for over two years with zero problems.
Well only one minor one, but that is due to normal wear and tear in that the left click isn't as responsive as it used to be.
Other than that it has been a solid mouse and its never let me down despite the abuse I have given it lol....
I've had my Deathadder for 2 years now and it's worked great, still incredibly clean and new looking, no issues whatsoever.
I would trade a DA for my HP mouse any day...
Still have my DA after 2 year, works as good as always and I've dragged this mouse through hell and back. Wouldn't trade it for a another.
Using a Logitech G500 up from the Mamba, I'll probably never buy another Razer product again. They always have some kind of gay problem that I'm not fit do deal with. Mine was that It started clicking about 20 times on one click, scroll up wasn't working and when I tried wireless mode it wasn't working at all. Even if it is just driver issues, I like the G500 more anyway.
had my deathadder for a good year now. still smooth as eggs and edible as fuck. nothing on it has even been remotely damaged or altered since when i got it
I've had my deathadder for over a year, mac edition because it was the cheapest and I'm a poor student, and it seems to be going fine for me.
I've had my deathadder for 1.5 years and it's still going strong with moderate use.
I'll be buying the new 5600DPI Lachesis on Friday, so I'll be sure to post a review/comparison video of the Lachesis to the Deathadder :)
Mine just recently died. The left mouse button stopped working. After 3 years, I was ready to get a new mouse anyway. I'm thinking of trying out a Sidewinder.
BTW, I have a Lachesis too. Don't really like it due to it being really uncomfortable to me.
