Raven Ridge Linux Benchmarks

I came across the new set of Linux benchmarks for the 2400G on Phoronix:

In summary, the 2400G is working quite well under kernel 4.17 but the 2200G is still experiencing issues. I haven’t seen anything about the mobile Raven Ridge Linux stability, but I’d imagine it could still be hit and miss under 4.17. If I was looking for something Raven Ridge besides the 2400G for Linux, I would try to hunt down what experience others have had, or wait until they get everything sorted.

I had been looking around for a while and not seen anything substantive since immediately after these APU’s were released. Having just bought a 2400G I was happy to see the benchmarks. It’s probably going to be a while until I do my build, but I plan on going over it thoroughly (mostly for low power performance) and sharing my results for those interested.

They also did a 28 way test including Raven Ridge, I know the first tests with my 7850K were horrible but got better with time

Thanks! I’m sure they will have some benchmarks with kernel 4.18 when it comes out, which should land before I finish my build. I plan on spending at least 2-3 days on testing out the performance and energy efficiency of the 2400G. I have everything but the RAM and motherboard. I’ll probably do a blog on it and then post the results back here when the time comes.
