Hello everyone! I got my Raspberry Pi and I'm tinkering with it, doing some programming, trying out some phython script (mostly not working but I'm getting better lol) but I still didn't find any guide on how to do multiboot with NOOBS iso and load a 3rd party ISO like Retropie alongside Raspbian. If someone has a clue on how to do it I would greatly appreciate that, thanks!
I just bought extra micro sd cards and I swap them out. I have Raspbian on one, kodi on another, retro pie on a third, and others for others. It's not really the answer to your question but it is a solution.
Just get another sd card and swap them out when you need a different distro. It's even faster than doing it through some sort of boot manager.
Thanks for the answers guys but I went for a bigger SD because I wanted to avoid as much as I can that swapping cards madness hahaha. Also I'm taking it with me when I'm out an' about so a solution like that would probably mean lose a couple of SDs.
Fortunately I think I've made some progress: I've found if the NOOB zip file a folder called os and, in that folder, what looks like another folder with the Raspbian image unpacked in it. Do you think it will work if I add in the os folder the unpacked img file of other OSs?
I actually just reinstalled a newer version of raspbian and it had a partition management system included with the installer this time. I didn't use it but it seems like there is hope for you. I'm guessing you can dual install from what's available or copy an additional os from usb. Let me know how it goes.
Can you please give more details about the partition management system? Sure I'll let you know
Ahh! Let me explain that again I don't think I was very clear. I placed an unzipped version of noobs on an sd card. I plugged it into the pi along with everything else including the Ethernet cable. Once it booted up I was prompted with install options and a partition manager was also available.
I found this.
actually this seems like it would be more helpful.
Thanks man, you've been superhelpful and kind. I did know about Berryboot but still I don't know how to add OSs not present on the Berryboot list. Also I did want to go the official route on it to avoid any instability or problems of sort of problem.
