I don't care what date it is. If computer doesn't have optical drive or space for one it is incomplete.
Those support modern SAS drive hence the dual sata ports and extra molex connectors.
Also that Enermax case is just plain stupid so yeah I kinda agree with the reddit rant.

really? I have an external which I use maybe twice a year. Optical has been dead for the past 4-5 years already for me.

If you want to RIP Bluray movies then you need one.
That way it's just taking space on your desk. If I buy optical drive it may as well be in the pc case where it's always ready.
I keep it in a storage box, that's how often I need one.
Holyshit, SingularityComputers makes his own waterblocks now. A particular mobo for his client needs a water block for the PLX chips which no one provides so he manufactured his own. Fucking legendary modder.
