Random beeping in Windows 7

Hey all

I just installed a Wireless Card (ASUS PCE-N10) on my desktop PC, and ever since I've been getting random in infrequent beeps through my headphones. These beeps are identical to the sound you get when too many keys are pressed at once on the keyboard. I was wondering if this is trying to signify a problem or not. If not, is there a way I can turn off the sound all together?

I will add that I was having some problems with my mouse briefly after, but I just switched it from a USB2 to a USB3 port on my motherboard and it works fine now. Could there potentially be a motherboard problem, have I damaged something with static?

Also, I will add that my PSU doesn't have much lenience for my system, could adding another component be causing problems? Regardless, I have had no issues otherwise, I'll edit this post to include some post-game temperatures. For reference my set-up is:

i5 3570k CPU
GTX 660
Gigabyte GA-Z77-3DH MoBo
8GB Kingston DDR3 1600 RAM
500GB Seagate Barracuda HDD
120GB Kingston SSD
430W Corsair Builder Series PSU

Any help would be appreciated, thanks :)

EDIT: Very odd discovery, when holding down a particular key, let's say 'x', typing each x is dramatically slower, and my cursor is flickering

Could be that there's some problem with that new card, but if possible I'd try moving it to another slot and see if the problem persists.
