I have some Adata 1333mhz ram from my uncle, its 4gb 1333mhz other than that, i'm positive about timings( it looks like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820211548 but i can't read what it says on the sticker my guess is it is one stick of the pack of 2). It is a single stick and it currently is running at 667. What can i do to get it at the rated 1333? I'm using an msi 970a-g46 mobo w/ uefi bios if that helps but i've never messed with anything like this before so i'm at a loss of what to do.
I'm running some old 1066 memory that I found laying around, and it shows up in CPU-Z as 532Mhz, so I'm pretty sure that's how it works. If it was actually 667, nothing would work too well.
Actually, 667 is pretty much what it should be. Your RAM is DDR3 which stands for Double Data Rate 3, what this means is it takes your DRAM frequency and doubles it. My ram is clocked at 816MHz, but because it is DDR3, it is running at 1632MHz.
DDR= Double Data Rate
So double the speed you see in Mhz and thats the actual speed of the RAM.
