Ram running at 1333MHz instead of 1600MHz

Hi. I just build my first computer ever. I got Corsair 8GB(2x4GB) 1600MHz. When I'm checking with software its says ram runs at 1333MHz.

I tried to go to bios/uefi and setup from auto to manual - 1600MHz. After restart works fine, all says 1600MHz.

Everything is back to normal ( 1333MHz ) after I turn my computer completly off and then back on.

Any idead what else I can do?

I do know I probably won't see any difference between 1600 - 1333 MHz but since its my first ever computer I build I want everything to be the way I planned :)

Motherboard: ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0

CPU: AMD 8320

I have heard of others having trouble with UEFI bios not saving setting after they tried to save them. A friend took one of his ram(dimms) out leaving only one in the motherboard and booted up into the bios. Made his changes plus saved and then turned off the PC. Replaced the ram he took out (so all ram was now in the pc) and booted up. Setting were now saved. Might give that a try. Don't see how it can hurt anything. Also what bios are you running because the latest bios on Asus website lists stability fixes?

also, if your mobo came with a driver cd, install it. sometimes that fixes the not saving of the settings (and some of the nicer mobos are kind enough to add registry values for the settings, so you can change them that way... however this is more common with servers, especialy dell servers)

Try to update your BIOS, I've had a similar issue with MAXIMUS VII GENE Z97. For some reason BIOS thinks that system is unstable and resets the ram frequency. Maybe also try to run only single stick at a time and see if that persists?

Gotta love that slick thread necro...
