RAM Overclocking failiure

I was overclockng my RAM progressively until I crossed the line, and the computer wouldn't post. I figured all I had to do was reset the CMOS, right? Well, I unplugged the power supply and then pulled out my motherboard battery for a couple of seconds. Do you think I broke my motherboard? Will resetting the CMOS with a jumper do me any good? Any help would be appreciated. Model of board: GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3

O_0 how high did you try to overclock those rams sticks?

pull them out and have a look at them and see if you burned them out

I take it youve tried to boot with different ram and it doesnt work? What ram were you using and how big of an o/c? I wouldnt say your mobo is done for as, if there is bad ram it in you wont get any screen input at all. I could only get my 160$ corsair dominators up a few mhz (1866-1912) and ive fried (no visible damage) plenty of lower end models. Ive had my 1633 kingston blu running at 1866 with no problem and thats some cheap ram i highly recomend.
