RAM Help Needed Please

Hey Everyone,

It's my birthday and I want to gift myself an upgrade for my self-built gaming comp.

Here are my specs:

CPU: i7 3770k

Mobo: ASUS P8Z77-V Pro

GPU: Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7970

RAM: 16GB (2x8) Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz

SSD Boot Drive: Samsung 830 256GB

HDD Storage: WD Caviar Black 2TB

PSU: OCZ ZX Series 850W

Cooling: NZXT Havik 120mm

Case: Corsair Obsidian 650D

Optical Drive: Standard ASUS Optical Drive

This is my question. Will my computer be able to support another kit of 16GB (2x8) Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz. That way, I would have 32GB. My computer supports Dual Channel Memory, so I think it will work. I also have another question. My RAM is supposed to run at 1600MHz, however, it only runs at 1333MH. How can I fix this? Also, is getting the RAM upgrade the right choice, or, should I get another SSD, HDD, maybe a Sound Card? All help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You would have no problem with another 16 GB, but I would reccomend another 7970.

I've heard that CrossFireX is derpy with some games...I also don't know how to set it up :P

As for clocking your memory, you will have to do it in your BIOS. I don't know the BIOS of your Mobo, so you'd have to just look around.

-No crossfire

-16gb is fin

-Smaller boot drive 120gb unless you plan on putting games on it

-Instead of cpu cooler i would get a h60 water cooling or something like that
