I was building a gaming rig then different MHz's of RAM confused me.
Now I want to know which will be good MHz for my rig as I am using FX8350 + Asus M5A97 R2.0 motherboard.
Plz help me.
The performance difference between Ram speeds isn't very noticable. Just get some low cas 1600Mhz speed ram
1866mHz CL9, or 1600mHz CL8, or below. Get the lowest CL (Cas Latency) for either 1866 or 1600mHz that you can find. CL is how long it takes to actually start using the RAM; a 1600mHz CL11 will be much slower than a 1600mHz CL9, for example. I would recommend G.SKILL for memory; I am loving my G.SKILL Trident X 2400mHz CL10 16GB kit. For a little less, you can get a G.SKILL Sniper 1866mHz CL9 16GB (2x8GB) kit that will go great with an 8350. Anything higher than 1866 makes isn't guaranteed to be stable on AM3+/990FX.
