RAM 1600Mhz

I need help choosing the best RAM (talking about compatibility and performance) for my build.

These three are on my list. they have a price difference of 3€

  • Mushkin 996995 - 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 9-9-9-24 Blackline
  • Corsair Vengeance Low Profile Blue — 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit (CML8GX3M2A1600C9B)
  • Patriot Viper 3 Series, Black Mamba, DDR3 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (PV38G160C9K)

It will be used with the following components:

  • Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77-DS3H
  • CPU: i5 3570K
  • GPU: MSI GTX 660 Twin Frozr
  • HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB
  • PSU: XFX Core Edition 550W

Thks

I'd go form the corsair memory because it is the most well know brand of the three and its blue which will match you bourd, but truly performance wise all are exacly the same

corsair

Mushkin looks motherfucking classy and fuckable, so i guess you know my opinion.

Can't go wrong with Corsair however, do your research and choose what is best for what you need. Also, may I suggest the ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 board instead. $20 more and a great MOBO.

Here are some great options for either board in no particular order:

-CAS 8 - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 PC3 12800 F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM $49.99

-CAS 9 - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 PC3 12800 F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL - $25.99

-CAS 9 - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 PC3 12800 F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL - $39.99

-CAS 9 - ADATA XPG Gaming Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 PC3 12800  AX3U1600GB2G9-2G - $25.99

-CAS 9 - CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 PC3 12800 CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 - $41.99

-CAS 9 - CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 PC3 12800 CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B - $44.99

^^Mushkin is the shit. Reliable and damn tight timings. Go big on RAM because right now is the time, RAM is unbelievably cheap right now.

thks for your advice. unfortunately I already purchased the Gigabyte board, because I need urgently a computer. my old one went "kaput"

I got the Z77-DS3H on a sale and the ASRock one was 40-50€ more

I know that is way, way, way better, have more features, more SATA3 connectiosn, but at the monent I cannot spend extra 40€

maybe in a couple of months I'll get that board
