Hey guys, new to the forum and first post. I built a new pc not too long ago and now just finally picked up 2 WD red 3tb NAZ drives hoping to make a raid1 array to keep my media on. The issue is that for some reason after i built the array through the bios i cant get windows to boot up properly. All my files and windows are only on a single wd black drive not on the array and i wanted to keep everything on that one drive and to boot off it. now for some reason all that happens is an endless loop of the bios screen and then to the windows loading splash screen, a blue error page for half a seccond then back to the asus splash screen. any help appreciated!! i have an asus f2a85-v pro motherboard with an amd A series proocessor. Is it possable to have a standard drive along with 2 drives in raid1?
If you switch to raid mode in the bios after installing windows things can get messy. Try to revert back to the previous setting and either do one of these things: Use the drives as regular drives but setup either software raid up through windows or use snapraid kind of solution(I love disparity although still in heavy development). There is also a way you can append a software fix to windows to make sure windows doesn't freak out after going hardware raid on the mobo i think.
