Raid 0 vs. Raid 5 as boot and game drive

Hello.

First of all, I am sorry for my bad English.

I am planning to buy 4 120GB SSDs, as boot and game drives. I'm wondering if i should go for Raid 0 or Raid 5, since I will loose some of the storage, and the  speeds will suffer, but is the extra security worth it? 

Can you recomend a decent raid card as well? Because I'm not a master on computer, like some of you are.

PS. I have a WD 1TB Green that I can use as a backup drive if i deside to go for Raid 0. The drives that I will be buying is OCZ Agility 3 120GB (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227726).

I would go raid0 and just do regular backups of your drives.  That should be enough security.

No idea about raid cards though, sorry!

Also no recommendations for raid card. BUT. I would run Raid 0, if you are using it really only for games. I use steam for all my games, so when I've replaced drives I just redownload all my games. The loss of space is not worth the security with SSD (in my opinion).

I'd suggest 2SSD's and a couple of normal drives.

1 SSD boot drive, 1 SSD cache drive. Instead of additional ssd's get a another 2 WD greens and do a raid5.

You might even save some money, will get more storage and performance for all intents and purposes will be the same.

best speed, is hardware 0, then as others stated just regulary backup your data.

RAID 0 is where my vote goes.

Supposedly 7's already have it enabled, but I don't have one of those.

I would go raid10 and get both redundancy and speed.  Raid 5 is more secure it is a bit slower on the read/write while raid 0 is speedier there is no redundancy.
