Radeon R9 270x

So Alienware offers there x51 with up too a Gtx 760 Ti now. I was wondering since I have a old x51 around (first gaming PC I got) with a i7 3770, Gtx 555, and 4Gb ram if I could upgrade it and use it as a secondary machine. But my concerns is that mine only has the 330w psu with it and I don't know if it can handle a Radeon R9 270x and 8Gb of ram, but Alienware only offers a 330w psu with the 760 Ti in the new machines along with a i7 4770 and 16Gb of ram.

Alienware's website that shows the 760 Ti: http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-x51-r2/pd.aspx

eh I wouldn't trust it. i have the 270x but still 330w is pretty low. for a sense of security a good 450w PSU would of been sufficient. the Nvidia cards do use less power than AMD cards That's why there's probably a 330w PSU in there to bring the price down of the pre-built system. but just to make it short and sweet I personally wouldn't upgrade the GPU in that Machine. I wouldn't feel Secure with a 330w PSU

Actually, I don't see why not. I know a guy with an i7 2600 non-K, 8GB RAM and a GTX 770. On a AX860 it's pulling 265w from the wall on P95 and furmark.
