Radeon & nVidia, making the best of what I have

I am going to buy tomorrow th Best card that I can find right now, a GT 1030. I will be running it in my A10-6800K with radion APU, in Debian. Do I have to uninstall the ATI stuff, and disable the onboard to have the team green card work, or is there a way to have both running? (Using a VGA monitor still as a second monitor) If I have both, can they play nice with each other, or am I just dreaming?

TIA

Just go into the BIOS of your mainboard and set the video option to boot the PCIe slot first. You do need to install the nvidia drivers, either directly from nVidia or from the repo of your distro. I’m also running an nVidia card in an AMD system and it works just fine. (mine has an A8-5600K, so fairly similar in age. My GPU is an ancient GF710 though  )

PS: it’s Radeon, AMD didn’t put an i in :stuck_out_tongue:
